Overview:
The north of Vietnam offers a wide range of impressively beautiful sites which are definitely worth to be explored. This trip is focused on presenting some of the most favourite destinations including Hanoi - the capital city, Sapa - the outstandingly stunning mountainous area and Halong Bay - the nature world heritage site. Throughout the trip, you will experience the bustling city of Hanoi, visit one of the most colourful ethnic minority markets in Lao Cai, explore the most hidden parts of Sapa by taking overnight trek and cruise among thousands islands and rocks emerged from tranquil water in Halong Bay. At the mean time, it is also a nice opportunity for distinguishing multi cultures, experiencing friendly people and their daily lives and enjoying spectacular nature beauty in the comfort of provided services.
Short Itinerary:
Days 1-2: Arrive at the airport/ train station, transfer to your hotel in Hanoi Centre. The rest of your time is at your disposal until you take another transfer to Hanoi railway station for catching night train to Lao Cai.
Day 3: Arrive at Laocai, transfer to visit one of the most colourful minority markets, the main weekly places for trading and socializing of the locals. Explore one or some of their villages and/or take a motored boat cruise on beautiful Chay River. Take another transfer to Sapa where accommodate in a hotel.
Days 4-7: Take four-day trek to remote villages where inhabited by authentic minority groups like the Black H'Mong, Red Dao and Tay, who are diversified in cultures, beautiful in costumes. The villages are located on the foot or deep inside the Hoang Lien Mountain Range with stunning nature of mountains, rain forests, rivers, waterfalls and valleys. The active trek, from 5 to 7 hour waking per day, on trails among rice terraces, mountains and village dirt paths, crossing some rivers, with nights spent in tents and local houses offers you unforgettable experiences through the most marvellous parts of Sapa area. The trek ends at Topas Ecolodge. You will stay overnight in one of her comfortable eco-friendly bungalows from where you can have excellent views to the trekking areas that you have just been to.
Day 8: Relax at the Topas Ecolodge, transfer to Sapa for exploring this “Hill Station” by yourself before getting another transfer to Lao Cai for catching night train back to Hanoi.
Days 9-10: Enjoy one overnight on a Traditional Style Junk and have cruises among thousands of limestone islands emerging from crystal water. Enjoy fresh seafood, visit amazing grottos and caves and swim at the pristine beach. Later of day 10 have a transfer back to Hanoi.
Day 11: Have leisure time before getting a transfer to Hanoi Airport/ station for your onward travel.
